Glory to Ole Georgia

I can't even begin to express how excited I am!  It's not just the football games that I am excited about either... it's the tailgating in Athens, eating Fried Chicken Fingers at Coach's Corner, cheering on the Bulldogs, grilling outdoors, the cool weather, and every wonderful holiday that comes with Fall.  I can't wait!

So in honor of football season, I am posting a Georgia themed Lingerie Shower invitation I did a few months back for my best friend Christina's wedding.  She is a HUGE Georgia fan and sports fanatic in general, so it was very appropriate for her.  I also designed her Save the Date, which she wanted to look like a football ticket.  I've included a few other options I gave her too that were going to be magnets.

I am also posting a photo of the program I designed for Aerin and Adam Durkin's wedding earlier this summer.  Although it is not Georgia themed, many other details of their wedding was!  This couple bleeds red and black.  Go check out their photos here at Jenny Evelyn Photography to see for yourself!  Oh and most importantly...

GO DAWGS!!!

First Post!

So I decided to start a new blog today!  For months I have been wanting to start my own website to showcase my artwork and graphic design, but  I opted for a blog instead.  With a blog, I can update it daily if I want and share stories about my projects every time I post one.  Plus, I can still blog about daily life, my recipes and interior decorating... things you would've found before on my old blog.

So without further adieu, Welcome to Alana Designs!

My first post is from a wedding I helped with that took place back in May.  One of my dear friends, Brooke Burns (now Graham) married Travis Graham.  I designed her save the dates, invitations, rehearsal dinner invitations and posters, wedding favor koozies, wedding programs and her thank you cards.  It was such a beautiful wedding and the pictures from her reception were just amazing!  She made a beautiful bride. Her colors were black and pink.  Oh and let me tell you, Brooke had a great/creative idea for everything!  People have complimented me on everything I designed for her, but Brooke came to me with the ideas already in her head, I just had to put them down on paper!  She definitely was a fun bride to work with!
